Rasmussen College Launches Accelerated Entrance Options for Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree in Tampa Bay Area
Rasmussen College, a regionally accredited private college and Public Benefit Corporation, today announced the launch of two accelerated entrance options for the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree at its Land O’ Lakes/East Pasco campus. The Rasmussen College BSN degree program, which is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), is immediately available with the new, accelerated pre-licensure entrance options that are designed for students committed to the nursing profession and are eager to launch their careers as quickly as possible. The accelerated entrance options also help fill a significant need for registered nurses with bachelor’s degrees in the Tampa Bay area. Classes are expected to begin in January.
Rasmussen College Launches Newly Redesigned Accounting Bachelor’s Degree-Completion Program with Reduced Tuition
Rasmussen College, a regionally accredited private college and Public Benefit Corporation, today announced the launch of a newly redesigned Accounting Bachelor’s degree-completion program with reduced tuition. The affordable program is designed to help students gain the skills most valued by employers, including managerial accounting, financial reporting, account reconciliation, payroll and bookkeeping. Students benefit from hands-on opportunities in their courses, including extensive training with industry software so they can better manage finances, and they can complete the program in as few as 18 months*. Upon graduation, they are prepared for the Certified Management Accountant (CMA) exam—a national industry certification sought after by today’s employers. Classes for the new accounting program begin in January.
Rasmussen College to Host Free Community Career Fairs Nationwide
Rasmussen College, a regionally accredited private college and Public Benefit Corporation, will host more than 20 free Community Career Fairs nationwide Oct. 21-29 to help community members, students and graduates advance their job-seeking skills and land their dream job by gaining access to career experts and local employers with open positions. Job-seekers will have the opportunity to network with potential employers, receive LinkedIn and resume consultations, participate in mock interviews, gain professional dress advice, identify career paths that fit their experience and skill set, and learn how to showcase the key transferable skills most sought after by today’s employers.
Rasmussen College Strengthens Commitment to Providing Affordable Degree Options; Makes New Tuition Reductions Across Multiple Degree Programs
Rasmussen College, a regionally accredited private college and Public Benefit Corporation, today announced new tuition reductions of as much as 51 percent for 10 degree programs across its Schools of Business, Health Sciences and Technology. The price cuts strengthen the College’s ongoing commitment to college affordability by providing multiple degree options at a lower tuition rate — which helps remove a barrier for students looking to advance their careers and addresses the skills gap present in today’s workforce. Starting in November, new full- and part-time students will be eligible for the reduced rates, saving them between 16 percent and 51 percent on tuition costs depending on the degree program.
Rasmussen College Launches Surgical Technologist Associate’s Degree Program at Romeoville/Joliet Campus
Rasmussen College, a regionally accredited private college and Public Benefit Corporation, recently launched a Surgical Technologist Associate’s degree program at its Romeoville/Joliet campus with classes beginning this month. The program prepares students to work as a surgical technologist, which is one of the fastest-growing professions in the healthcare field. Surgical technologists are an integral part of the surgical care team, helping prep for and assist during a surgery. To celebrate the launch of the new program and the opening of the surgical suite at its Romeoville/Joliet campus, the College will host an open house and ribbon-cutting ceremony from 1:30 – 2:30 p.m. on Oct. 15.
Rasmussen College Welcomes Dr. Georgia Vest as Regional Dean of Nursing-Southeast Region
Rasmussen College, a regionally accredited private college and Public Benefit Corporation, recently welcomed Dr. Georgia Vest as the new regional dean of nursing for its Southeast region. In this role, Vest will oversee the College’s nursing programs in Florida and Kansas, which include five School of Nursing locations in Florida and two in Kansas. Vest brings with her more than 15 years of experience in nursing education. Most recently, she served as associate director at the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) – the entity responsible for the specialized accreditation of nursing education programs across the country.
Rasmussen College Redesigns Healthcare Career-Focused Programs to Help Fill Employment Gaps
Rasmussen College, a regionally accredited private college and Public Benefit Corporation, today announced the launch of three newly redesigned healthcare career-focused degree programs: Healthcare Management Bachelor’s degree-completion program, Medical Assisting Diploma and the Medical Laboratory Technician Associate’s degree. These degree options are designed to prepare students to fill significant employment gaps in both the business and patient services sides of healthcare. The College also announced a tuition reduction of 35 percent for its Medical Assisting Diploma program for new students starting in October.
Rasmussen College Medical Assisting Program in Overland Park and Topeka, Kan., Earns ABHES Accreditation
Rasmussen College, a regionally accredited private college and Public Benefit Corporation, today announced its Medical Assisting Diploma program in Overland Park and Topeka, Kan., has earned accreditation from the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES). ABHES is a nationally recognized higher education accreditation organization specializing in both institutional and programmatic accreditation of programs in the allied health field. Rasmussen College also announced it is lowering tuition for its Medical Assisting Diploma by 35 percent for new students starting in October.
Rasmussen College Launches Supply Chain and Logistics Management Scholarship
Rasmussen College, a regionally accredited private college and Public Benefit Corporation, recently launched the Supply Chain and Logistics Management Scholarship in an effort to make this specialized business degree more affordable and accessible to students. The scholarship, which is immediately available for new students enrolling in the Supply Chain and Logistics Management Bachelor’s degree program for fall 2015, could lower tuition by up to $4,000.
Rasmussen College President Participates in White House Discussion on Innovation and Quality in Higher Education
Rasmussen College President Dr. Trenda Boyum-Breen recently participated in a discussion at the White House on promoting innovation and quality in higher education. Dr. Boyum-Breen was among a select group of higher education industry leaders, including college presidents, education providers, thought leaders and accreditors, to be invited to attend the convening in Washington on July 30. The U.S. Department of Education brought the group together to discuss ways higher education institutions and non-accredited education providers can work together to extend access to students while ensuring quality and consumer protection.
