Rasmussen College Hosting Free Community Career Fairs Nationwide
Rasmussen College, a regionally accredited private college and Public Benefit Corporation, will host more than 20 free Community Career Fairs nationwide April 18-22 to help community members, students and graduates advance their job-seeking skills and gain access to career experts and local employers with open positions. Job-seekers will have the opportunity to network with potential employers, receive LinkedIn and resume consultations, participate in mock interviews and gain professional dress advice.

Rasmussen College Partners with the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) to Celebrate Week of the Young Child
Rasmussen College, a regionally accredited private college and Public Benefit Corporation, is partnering with the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) to celebrate Week of the Young Child April 10-16. The purpose of the week – now in its 45th year – is to focus public attention on the needs of young children and their families and to recognize the early childhood programs and services that meet those needs. This year, Rasmussen College is helping to bring awareness to the benefits of outdoor education in young children. Its theme, Exploring the World Together through Nature, will be celebrated across the College’s 23 campuses.

Rasmussen College Peer Leader Program Awarded International Mentor Training Program Certification by the College Reading and Learning Association (CRLA)
Rasmussen College, a regionally accredited private college and Public Benefit Corporation, is proud to announce its student mentorship program, Peer Leaders, has earned International Mentor Training Program Certification (IMTPC). The certification, which is awarded by the College Reading and Learning Association (CRLA), recognizes peer-assisted programs that are research-based and strategically implemented to give postsecondary students the support they need to be successful. Rasmussen College specifically uses technology to offer support beyond what traditional academic tutoring can provide — especially in an online classroom environment.

Rasmussen College Expands Innovative Flex Choice Learning Option to All Associate’s and Bachelor’s Degree Programs*
Rasmussen College, a regionally accredited private college and Public Benefit Corporation, today announced the expansion of its innovative Flex Choice® learning option to the College’s nine remaining bachelor’s and associate’s degree programs not already available with Flex Choice. Flex Choice is a pioneering learning model within the evolving realm of competency-based education (CBE). It allows students to take self-paced, competency-based courses alongside their traditional courses at no additional cost – saving them money and time. Depending on the degree program and number of self-paced courses students choose to take, they can save up to 45 percent in tuition costs when compared to the cost of taking only traditional, faculty-led courses at Rasmussen College.

Rasmussen College Launches Accelerated Entrance Options for Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree in Wisconsin
Rasmussen College, a regionally accredited private college and Public Benefit Corporation, today announced the launch of two accelerated entrance options for the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree at its Green Bay and Wausau, Wis. campuses. The Rasmussen College BSN degree program, which is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), is immediately available with the new, accelerated pre-licensure entrance options that are designed for students who are committed to the nursing profession and eager to launch their careers as quickly as possible. The accelerated entrance options also help fill a significant need for registered nurses with bachelor’s degrees in Wisconsin. Classes are expected to begin in April.

Rasmussen College to Open State-of-the-Art School of Nursing Facility in Ocala in Summer 2016
Rasmussen College, a regionally accredited private college and Public Benefit Corporation, today announced it will open a new state-of-the-art School of Nursing facility in Ocala in summer 2016. The new nursing campus, located at 1227 Southwest 17th Ave., in the former Ocala Entertainment Complex building, will include classrooms, computer labs, large student learning spaces and updated simulation equipment, such as real-life manikins and nursing beds. Construction on the multimillion dollar, 21,000-square-foot facility is expected to begin later this month.

Rasmussen College Launches Newly Redesigned Accounting Bachelor’s Degree-Completion Program with Reduced Tuition
Rasmussen College, a regionally accredited private college and Public Benefit Corporation, today announced the launch of a newly redesigned Accounting Bachelor’s degree-completion program with reduced tuition. The affordable program is designed to help students gain the skills most valued by employers, including managerial accounting, financial reporting, account reconciliation, payroll and bookkeeping. Students benefit from hands-on opportunities in their courses, including extensive training with industry software so they can better manage finances, and they can complete the program in as few as 18 months*. Upon graduation, they are prepared for the Certified Management Accountant (CMA) exam—a national industry certification sought after by today’s employers. Classes for the new accounting program begin in January.

Rasmussen College Strengthens Commitment to Providing Affordable Degree Options; Makes New Tuition Reductions Across Multiple Degree Programs
Rasmussen College, a regionally accredited private college and Public Benefit Corporation, today announced new tuition reductions of as much as 51 percent for 10 degree programs across its Schools of Business, Health Sciences and Technology. The price cuts strengthen the College’s ongoing commitment to college affordability by providing multiple degree options at a lower tuition rate — which helps remove a barrier for students looking to advance their careers and addresses the skills gap present in today’s workforce. Starting in November, new full- and part-time students will be eligible for the reduced rates, saving them between 16 percent and 51 percent on tuition costs depending on the degree program.
