|11/12/2013||Rasmussen College Earns Minnesota Career College Association Student And Staff Person Of The Year Awards|
Rasmussen College is proud to announce it has been awarded the 2013 Student of the Year and Staff Person of the Year Award from the Minnesota Career College Association (MCCA). MCCA represents private post-secondary schools and colleges focused on career specific education. This is the second year in a row Rasmussen College has been recognized by the MCCA. Last year, the College was awarded the Student and Faculty of the Year awards.
|11/7/2013||Rasmussen College Offers New Graphic Design Degree Programs In Fields Of Fastest Growth |
Rasmussen College today announced a new Graphic Design degree program, available on campus and online through its 24 U.S campuses. Students can now earn diploma, Associate’s and Bachelor’s degrees in Graphic Design, with specializations in animation and motion graphics or web and interactive design. The multi-degree program helps students keep pace with the specialized career demands of the field and prepares them to enter the employment market. Enrollment in the Graphic Design program is open immediately, with classes beginning January 2014.

In an effort to help meet the increasing demand for nurses in Minnesota, Rasmussen College has added the Professional Nursing (RN) Associate’s degree program at their Blaine campus. The College also launched the Mobility Bridge Transfer option allowing LPNs to transfer in credits and quickly progress to an Associate’s Degree in Nursing. Both options are available in Blaine starting with the January 2014 semester.

In an effort to help meet the increasing demand for registered nurses (RNs) in Wisconsin, Rasmussen College has been granted approval to offer their Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree in Wisconsin. The College also has launched the Mobility Bridge Transfer option for LPNs. With these additions, Rasmussen offers an academic program for students to easily advance from an LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) to an RN (Associate's Degree in Nursing) to a BSN (Bachelor's of Science degree).

Rasmussen College today announced the appointment of Brent Dobsch as its new chief financial officer. Dobsch, who joins the College effective immediately, will oversee all aspects of finance and accounting, including financial strategy, management and reporting.

Rasmussen College is committed to changing the lives of its students every day, but the College is also dedicated to making the communities in which it serves a better place to live, grow and learn. On Friday, July 19, 2013, approximately 1,400 Rasmussen College employees from its 24 campuses and three central offices will participate in the fifth annual Rasmussen College Community Service Day. Rasmussen College students have also been encouraged to volunteer their time at nearly three dozen organizations across six states.
