|8/20/2014||Rasmussen College Expands School Of Nursing In Kansas|
Rasmussen College, a regionally accredited private college, announced today that it is expanding the School of Nursing to its Kansas campuses. Enrollment for the Professional Nursing Associate’s degree program (ADN) is immediately available for qualified students at the Kansas City/Overland Park and Topeka campuses with classes beginning in October. The ADN program at both locations is approved by the Kansas State Board of Nursing. Rasmussen College also invites LPNs who wish to become registered nurses (RN) to enroll in its Professional Nursing Mobility Bridge Entrance Option, which is also available at both Kansas campuses.

Rasmussen College, a regionally accredited private college, is remembering its beloved Board Member, Thurston E. (Ted) Manning, Ph.D., who passed away on Saturday, July 19, 2014. Dr. Manning, who was an inspirational Board member and avid supporter in career-focused education for Rasmussen College, will be deeply missed. He was 88.

Rasmussen College, a regionally accredited private college, today announced the expansion of its Flex Choice learning option to two additional business degree programs with classes beginning October 2014. Flex Choice, which combines faculty-led courses with self-paced, competency-based courses, is immediately available for qualified students enrolling in the College’s AcceleratED Business Management Bachelor’s degree and Accounting Associate’s degree programs. The innovative learning experience, which launched in May with the Business Management Associate’s degree program, can save students up to $14,000 on the total cost of their degree compared to Rasmussen College’s traditional degree programs and allows them to graduate up to six months sooner. Rasmussen College, a regionally accredited private college and Public Benefit Corporation (PBC), announced today it will focus its corporate social responsibility efforts under the platform "Building Community through Education". The goal is to use career-focused education to enhance workforce readiness, match employers with skilled employees and drive economic growth and community prosperity. This platform will be adopted across all 24 Rasmussen College campuses and three central offices, with a focus on programs and initiatives that connect and impact students and alumni, community members, local businesses and employers and Rasmussen College employees.

Rasmussen College, a regionally accredited private college, is proud to announce it has been recognized by The Sloan Consortium (Sloan-C) for effective practices in blended learning. Sloan-C, a leading professional online learning society, will present Rasmussen College faculty with its Blended Learning Effective Practice Award at the 11th Annual Sloan Consortium Blended Learning Conference and Workshop, July 8-9 in Denver. The award recognizes effective techniques, strategies and practices in online education.

To help meet the demands of today's college students, Rasmussen College, a regionally accredited private college, today launched Flex Choice, a flexible degree option that combines faculty-led courses with competency-based, self-paced courses. Rasmussen College, a regionally-accredited private college, recently attended and was selected to present at the Tenth World Forum on Early Care and Education. The international event, attended by early childhood leaders and practitioners from more than 80 nations, took place May 6-9 in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Dr. Cecelia Westby, representing Rasmussen College and Collegis Education, was selected to sit on an international panel of early childhood experts to discuss innovative ways to prepare future teachers. During her comments, Westby highlighted the opportunities for preparing high-quality early childhood teachers fully online.

Rasmussen College, a regionally accredited private college, today announced its earned accreditation for the School of Nursing's Professional Nursing Associate's Degree (ADN) program in Ocala from the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing, Inc. (ACEN). Accreditation signifies the Ocala program has met or exceeded standards and criteria for educational quality in its nursing curriculum and its preparation for nursing students to work successfully in the profession.

Many Americans are unhappy at work. According to new research conducted on behalf of Rasmussen College, almost one in five Americans say they are dissatisfied with their job, partially because they have no room to grow. In fact, more than half of the 2,000 U.S. adults surveyed say they don’t have significant growth opportunities in their current positions.

Rasmussen College, a regionally accredited private college, is partnering with Make-A-Wish Central and Northern Florida to help grant an 11-year-old Pasco County boy's wish. Joey, who is diagnosed with muscular dystrophy, enjoys playing video and computer games, and like many 11-year-old boys, Joey spends his time exploring the newest games and playing them with friends. Joey says he wants to be a video game creator when he grows up. To help make that dream a reality, Rasmussen College is giving Joey a digital drawing tablet along with a one-year membership to Adobe Creative Cloud. The membership, which is worth up to $600, will give Joey access to Adobe's suites of software for graphic design, video editing, web development applications and cloud services.
