The grand prize winner of the CHIPS Essay Scholarship worth up to 12 credits was Catherine Wright from Eden Prairie! And because we had so many great essays come in, we've added two scholarships for $1000 that will go to the runners up. The runners up were Bradley Remington from Mankato and Melinda Hanson from Eden Prairie.

Summer 2007 CHIPS Essay Scholarship contest details:

  • Write an essay, in 4 pages or less, about how the "P" (placement) in CHIPS most benefits Rasmussen College students and you could win a scholarship.
  • 1st place: A scholarship for up to 12 credits applied towards next quarter's tuition.
  • 2nd & 3rd place: $1000 scholarship applied towards next quarter's tuition.
  • Submit essay to CHIPS.Essay@rasmussen.edu by Sept. 7, 2007 at 4:00 PM.
  • Judges will select one winner, for each scholarship, from all essays submitted.
  • Only current Rasmussen, Webster or Aakers College students are eligible to win.
