Rasmussen College's Criminal Justice Program has been approved as an American Correctional Association Certified College
American Correctional Certification means that the Criminal Justice Program at Rasmussen College is recognized as an accredited comprehensive program worthy of certifying students who complete the ACA examination.
In order to achieve certification, students need to graduate from Rasmussen College with an A.A.S. Degree in Criminal Justice (either emphasis area) and apply for the examination. No additional coursework is required.
Study materials for the examination will be available in the Rasmussen College libraries. ACA will administer the correctional officer exam annually to Rasmussen College graduates at the college. Graduates who pass the exam and complete one year of correctional work will then be ACA Certified.
Rasmussen College is one of the first schools to be certified by the ACA. This great announcement will be featured in the American Correctional Association monthly magazine, Corrections Today, that is distributed to over 29,000 people and agencies.
