Everybody Loves a Parade
On Sunday August 14, 2005 Rasmussen College-Minnetonka participated in the Carver Country Fair Parade in Waconia. The parade was a way to celebrate Rasmussen's growth and to connect the college to future students from communities west of the Metro area.
Rasmussen Staff who participated include Stella Coker, Sarah Hogy, Phillip Kagol, and Kathy Howe. While in the parade, they handed out candy, t-shirts, and flyers to prospective students that will allow them to waive the application fee if they enroll for fall quarter 2005.
"This was a great experience that really allowed us to connect with people of Waconia and the surrounding communities. Rasmussen is 'hometown,' and it's great to see that your co-workers are willing to give up their Sunday to support their college," Kathy Howe said after the parade.
