Getting Started at Rasmussen College

Starting college is an exciting time, but it can also be overwhelming because there is so much to think about when choosing the right school. Getting started at Rasmussen College is easy and we’re here to help!

Step 1: Visit the Campus or Watch the Online Course Demo
Call Rasmussen College to set up a time to check out the college. Feel free to bring your parents and friends, too. Or you can talk to a program manager about what the online experience is like.

Step 2: Submit Your Application
Complete our application form and submit your application fee. Be sure to apply early in order to take advantage of our Grade Point Achievement Scholarship.

Step 3: Take the Entrance Exam
Although Rasmussen College does not require ACT or SAT scores for admission, all students are required to take an entrance exam. Your program manager will work with you to schedule a testing time.

Step 4: Get Us Your Transcripts
Provide your high school diploma or GED as well as transcripts from any other colleges you've attended. Your program manager will be glad to help you with this process.

Step 5: Attend Orientation
Approximately two weeks before starting classes, New Student Orientation is held. Attendance at orientation is required for all students. General college policies and procedures, as well as student services are discussed at orientation.

Step 6: Begin Classes!
Don’t worry, even after you start classes we’re here to help. Whether it’s questions about your courses, time management, finding a tutor, instructor issues, finding a job – absolutely anything – we’re here to help.

Rasmussen College program managers are here to assist you throughout the enrollment process. If you have questions at any time, just ask and we'll be glad to help!
