About Me

After practicing law for 10 years, I have entered the exciting world of teaching!  As a former city prosecutor and assistant Fargo city attorney, I am honored to have the opportunity to share my experience and skills with students as they pursue a career in Criminal Justice.

I started teaching at Rasmussen College in April 2008.  I am the Program Advisor for the Criminal Justice program at the Fargo campus.  I have experience in insurance defense work, civil litigation, and criminal law.  I received my Bachelors Degree in Political Science and Law Enforcement from Minnesota State University Minnesota State University Mankato (Go Mavericks!) and my law degree from Hamline University School of Law in St. Paul.

My “free time” tends to involve many law enforcement related activities . . . my husband, Paul, is the Sheriff of Cass County.  So, we keep busy attending various events and keeping up with his job as well.

I enjoy spending time with my husband and two wonderful stepdaughters.  We love our time at the lake, swimming, traveling and just being together.
