Well, here is my first post in my college blog. It is hard to believe I have been in college for almost a year now. I started November 7, 2007 as a midstart. My first classes were Intro to Sociology and Success Strategies. It is amazing because the very first night I looked at my classes and all that was required I thought I would never get it done. It seemed so overwhelming at first even though it was just a mid start class. I think starting college as a mid start was the best thing for me because I am not sure if I could have handled the normal course workload after not being in school for three years.
Working full time during the start of the holiday season and starting college was very challenging but I am happy to say I got through it alright. It still seems like yesterday when I was sitting admissions office nervously filling out the paperwork. These days are going by so fast. I want to go to the events at school more often, but between working and not having my own car that is hard.
I am happy to say I went to the Ocala Kickball Tournament and even though I did not really even know how to play, it felt awesome to be a part of the college.
I plan to go to the first annual backyard BBQ at the Ocala Campus on October 27 maybe I’ll bring my camera and take some pictures. If I do I will post them here! Until next time
