Why do students need to turn in their GAP Portfolio?

  • It is an assessment tool utilized by Rasmussen College to make sure Rasmussen students are getting the best possible education
  • It is a way for you to self assess your growth
  • You need to turn it in to be able to get your diploma
  • How do we judge these things.


Best Practices for Your Cover Letter:

  • Utilized proper letter format 
  • Addressed to the GAP Assessment Committee 
  • 3-4 paragraphs (1-introduction/thesis, 2-3 explaining the pieces you are using and why you choose that piece, 4-conclusion)


Communication Tips:

  • You have an audience you addressed
  • You communicated clearly


Critical Thinking Tips:

  • You analyzed, evaluated, and synthesized information and thoroughly convey so throughout your paper

 

Information Literacy Tips: 

  • It has a reference page
  • You utilized APA formatting
  • You have used numerous sources (3 plus)
  • They are of varied materials (online, articles, books, your text etc)
  • That you utilized the information throughout the paper
