About Lake Elmo, Minnesota

Lake Elmo is a fast-growing residential suburb of 6,500 people, with a small historic downtown center. Much of the area within the city limits is still farmland, which gives the city a very rural feel. The city density is likely to increase substantially over the next 15 years due to a new city plan that has been ordered.

Located east of Saint Paul, this quaint community prides itself on its value and retention of lakes and woodland open space. The area is known for the Lake Elmo Park Reserve, a beautiful wooded and open area that features two large lakes. The park reserve offers archery, fishing, boating, camping (in a modern campground), picnic and swimming areas, bike and hiking trails and a fantastic play structure.
