About Woodbury, MN
Woodbury is a growing suburb in the Twin Cities metropolitan area, located just southeast of St. Paul, the state's capital. For the past several years, it has been one of Minnesota's fastest-growing cities. Since the 1980 Census, the population has more than quadrupled, going from some 10,000 people to 46,463 people, according to the 2000 U.S. Census figures.
Woodbury has attractive residential neighborhoods, which are connected by more than 100 miles of multi-use trails. The park system features 3,000 acres of dedicated parkland, 40 community and neighborhood parks, and a swimming beach. Woodbury also operates a large sports center, which houses two indoor ice arenas and a field house with walking/running track. The outdoor complex includes 14 athletic fields, picnic facilities, and play equipment.
