Rasmussen College It’s My Time Scholarship Form

The Rasmussen College “It’s My Time” Scholarship provides two (2) $10,000 scholarships to the Rasmussen College Romeoville/Joliet Campus. The scholarship will be presented in quarterly increments of $1,250 over the course of two years totaling $10,000.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Only those applicants meeting the following requirements will be eligible for this scholarship:

  1. Applicant must be at least 18 years of age.
  2. Applicant must have a high school diploma or GED.
  3. Meets the acceptance requirements of Rasmussen College.
  4. Applicant must maintain a 2.5 grade point average at Rasmussen College to receive the scholarship each quarter.
  5. Must complete application form and write a 750-1000 word essay describing how the scholarship would change their personal life, impact their family, and how the individual would use their degree to fulfill the mission of Rasmussen College.

CRITERIA FOR CONSIDERATION: The following items will be given careful consideration in evaluating applicants for this scholarship:

  1. Applicant should display leadership characteristics and the potential to effect change.
  2. Applicant should exhibit qualities including, but not limited to:
    1. Courage and tenacity to overcome barriers and obstacles to achievement.
    2. Creative thinking and problem solving.
    3. Accepting and delegating responsibility.
    4. A commitment to diversity.
    5. Expressing concern and demonstrating tolerance.
    6. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  3. Leadership and community service, and a commitment to education are considerations in this application.

  2. The essay must be 750-1000 words.

  4. Instructions given on the application must be followed explicitly for application to be considered.

Completed application and essay must be submitted no later than 11:59 p.m. CST on November 16, 2009. The Rasmussen College “It’s My Time” Scholarship will be awarded by December 1, 2009.
