Transferring Credits From Rasmussen To Another College

Many academic credits earned at Rasmussen College are acceptable in transfer by various institutions. An up-to-date list of colleges with which Rasmussen College has transfer agreements can be obtained by contacting the Dean of Instructional Programs at the campus nearest you.

Graduates or students who are considering transferring credits from Rasmussen College to other institutions should recognize that Rasmussen College courses and programs focus on career preparation. Some of these courses are not accepted as transfer credit by other institutions.

Agreements are continually being developed, and Rasmussen College credits are regularly accepted at other institutions.

The Dean of Instructional Programs can assist with the necessary documentation or information. The ultimate decision of acceptance of credits from Rasmussen is at the discretion of the accepting college, but Rasmussen will assist with the process in any way possible.


Transferring Credits From Another College To Rasmussen College

Students who wish to transfer credits to Rasmussen College need to complete the following two steps:

  1. Apply for admission to Rasmussen College (completing our application form and submitting the application fee).
  2. Official transcripts must be sent directly to Rasmussen College from every institution the student has attended.

The student will be notified regarding courses transferred and the Rasmussen College courses they will replace. This information will be noted on the student's official Rasmussen College transcript as well.

Rasmussen College reserves the right to deny or accept transferred credits based on guidelines published in its course catalog.

Students may not transfer in and/or test out of more than 40% of the program credit hour requirements.
