As children, we all dreamed about what we would become one day. From being an astronaut to a professional athlete, many of us wanted a career that would impress those around us.

Fast forward a few years and things may have not gone exactly as planned. You may still be looking for that career you can be proud to show off.

To help get you motivated  toward making this dream a reality, below is a list of a few highly regarded finance job titles that will look  impressive on those business cards  you may be handing out to your friends one day. And while this is not a list of entry level finance jobs, it is instead a list of positions you may choose to work toward as you begin building your exciting career in finance

Job Titles in Finance to Brag About

1. Stock Broker

What You Do: Here you will advise customers' to buy and sell financial securities. You are basically the middle man managing the transactions between the financial market and investors.
Average Salary: $70,100
Basic Requirements to Become One: A bachelor’s degree in finance or a related field is usually required by organizations to pursue this position. Many candidates pursue an internship to gain experience within the company, in addition to acquiring the industry licenses or certifications that may be required by law.

2. Senior Financial Analyst

What You Do: You will be analyzing financial information in order to create projections of businesses, industries and the economy for to help others make investment decisions.
Average Salary: $77,500
Basic Requirements to Become One: Typically, companies require a bachelor’s degree in a finance related field with a number of years of work experience in order to be promoted into this position.

3. Fund Manager

What You Do: Individuals in this position manage an investment funds strategy, working to maximize returns to benefit the fund's investors.
Average Salary: $86,450
Basic Requirements to Become One: Typically, a candidates will need to have a bachelor’s degree or higher (such as a Masters degree), in addition to multiple years of related finance/investment work experience. 

4. Investment Banking Analyst

What You Do: You will work to connect businesses in need of capital with investors who are interested in providing funding in order to earn a return on their investment.
Average Salary: $95,000
Basic Requirements to Become One: Job candidates will often need at least a bachelor’s degree with a few years of experience under their belt proving their knowledge and ability to perform within this field. 

5. Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

What You Do: In this top position individuals may manage all aspects of a company’s financial matters and decisions. They may also perform many of the necessary accounting tasks depending on the size of the organization.
Average Salary: $286,500
Basic Requirements to Become One: Typically, at least a bachelor’s degree in a related subject area is required.  Many top candidates have also earned a Master’s degree or higher with perhaps a large number of years experience in finance and promotions within an organization having proven their ability to perform its duties.
