Our Information Systems Management Associate’s degree with a specialization in Computer Information Technology provides an in-depth study of IT infrastructure, including troubleshooting and repair, as well as the more client-focused and customer interaction side of IT, which prepares you for a variety of in-demand technology careers. Our diverse, yet comprehensive, curriculum, which has two emphasis areas–technology and multimedia—helps to give you a competitive advantage over other candidates when starting your career in positions such as Computer Support Specialist, Webmaster, and Help Desk Technician.
Our top-tier, hands-on coursework, taught by industry-certified faculty, ensures a continual focus on current and emerging technologies and the fundamental IT principles, practices, and applications—from IT support to website design. To help prepare you to pass industry-specific CompTIA®, Microsoft®, and Cisco® certification exams, we provide you with courses and practice tests, as well as the hardware, software, and FTP/Web space you need. We even cover your exam fees for these certifications.*
*Rasmussen College will cover the application fee for each first attempt of all of the industry certification exams for which you qualify to take. Should you need to take an exam more than once to receive a passing score, you will be responsible for all subsequent exam application fees.

Your IT specialization will focus on the business applications residing on today’s computers, as well as some fundamental concepts related to computer-system administration. In addition, you have the opportunity to choose electives that develop your skills in either computer repair and support or multimedia applications.

You will present ways that customer relations can be enhanced through the use of e-commerce.
Microsoft Windows Workstations
You will learn how to install a Windows Operating System and provide maintenance and assistance to the operating system as needed.
Information Technology Capstone
You will apply what you have learned about information technology (IT) and be tasked with solving a real world IT problem.
Technology, specifically technology revolving around computers, can make or break a business. Being able to troubleshoot and resolve any technological issues is very important.
