Rasmussen College Online Has one of the Most Prestigious Accreditations

Accreditation ensures that you receive a quality education that will be recognized for the true achievement that it is. Rasmussen College Online has been awarded Regional Accreditation by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC), a Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools (NCA).

Accreditation is used to evaluate the quality of the education a student receives at a college. Schools that are unaccredited – also known as diploma mills – have not met the stringent requirements to be considered for regional accreditation. The type of accreditation the college you attend has will affect the financial aid you are eligible for, your chances for future employment and the state licensing exams you will qualify for. At Rasmussen College Online your future success is our business - and that’s why we are proud to be regionally accredited.

CAHIIM & AHIMA Accreditations

The Commission on Accreditation for Health Informatics and Information Management Education (CAHIIM), in cooperation with The American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA), accredits the Rasmussen College Health Information Technician program offered at the Eagan, Mankato, Eden Prairie, Brooklyn Park, and St. Cloud Campus locations.

As a new campus location, the Rockford, Illinois campus is in the Application for Candidacy process and will be reviewed for accreditation in 2007.  At that time, students will be informed of the program’s accreditation status.  Note that graduates may not sit for the AHIMA credentialing examination until accreditation has been granted to the campus.

Note: Graduates may not sit for the AHIMA credentialing examination until accreditation has been granted to the campus.

The Rasmussen College Practical Nursing Program is approved by the Minnesota Board of Nursing.

Upon satisfactory completion of the Practical Nursing Program requirements, students are eligible to apply to sit for the National Council Licensure Examination for practical nurses. Upon passing the NCLEX-PN Exam, the PN candidate is eligible for licensure, provided the candidate has satisfied all Minnesota Board of Nursing requirements.
