Can I earn an accredited degree online at Rasmussen College?

Yes! Rasmussen has earned the right to be Regionally Accredited - the premier accreditation standard by the Higher Learning Commission and is a member of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools (NCA). Other schools accredited by NCA include, The University of Michigan and Northwestern University.

This benefits you in numerous ways, including having the ability to easily continue onward for future degrees and respect from employers who know the difference between Regional and other accreditations.

In addition, all of the accredited college degrees earned through Rasmussen College’s online program are the same as the degrees earned by our traditional, on-campus students.

Is earning an online college degree right for me?

Rasmussen College’s online classes allow you to do your coursework when it is most convenient for you, in a time that is flexible, to accommodate your other responsibilities.

Earning a college degree online from Rasmussen College is a great way to broaden your career opportunities, without having to sacrifice that all-important time away from your family, job or other activities.

How do online courses work?

In online courses, students "attend" class by accessing the class web pages and completing assignments according to the class schedule. Students communicate regularly with the instructor and classmates via e-mail and online discussion forums.

Students complete assignments according to the class schedule, maintain regular contact with the instructor and participate in online class discussions.

Do I have to be online at a certain time each day or week?

No, but while you are working toward your college degree online, you are expected to stay on schedule with assignments, and login multiple times per week.

Some classes may have several due dates each week; others may require work once per week, but you have the flexibility of choosing the time of day or night you want to log on to the Internet and work on an assignment.

Is financial aid available?
