Eagan (Minn.) — Exactly 20 years since its original ribbon-cutting in 1989, Rasmussen College will cut the symbolic ribbon again in commemoration of its 20 years in the Eagan community.
To celebrate its history in Eagan, Rasmussen College is inviting the community to a free, family friendly festival on July 15 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at its campus located at 3500 Federal Drive. The ribbon cutting will take place at 5:00.
Included in the festival will be a variety of live music including an African drummer with dancing, free food from Joe Sensor’s Restaurant and Sports Bar, free cotton candy, and story time and songs for children. Rasmussen College will also raffle off prizes for the community. Rasmussen students will also offer free blood pressure tests and massages to the community.
There will also be a Red Cross Blood Drive from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. that day at the campus.
The School of Justice Studies at Rasmussen College will also be sponsoring free self defense lessons, a demonstration from the SWAT Team, and a K-9 unit.
The College asks that people bring non-perishable food as it will be collecting food donations to benefit the Robert Lewis House.
