Previous Groundbreaking Ceremony Cancelled Due to Inclement Weather
Lake Elmo, MN - Rasmussen College, a private, career-education college, has rescheduled the groundbreaking ceremony for its newest campus building on the border of Lake Elmo and Woodbury for Friday, August 18, 2006 at 11:00 am.
The new Lake Elmo campus is located next to The Machine Shed Restaurant off of I-94 and Inwood Avenue.
The previous groundbreaking ceremony that was scheduled for July 19th had to be cancelled due to inclement weather.
The amenities featured in this 20,000 square foot building will include a medical lab, 3 IT labs, a student resource center, wireless internet access throughout the building and a Student Service Center staffed with success coordinators to help students in their pursuit of a degree.
"By opening this new campus we will be able to better accommodate the increasing number of students in the greater metro area," said Kristi Waite, President of Rasmussen College. "The additional campus will allow us to continue to improve our existing programs and at the same time broaden our offerings."
The groundbreaking ceremony will be open to the public and will be followed by cake and beverages.
If you would like to attend the ceremony, please RSVP via e-mail to tom.cody@rasmussen.edu. The ceremony will be held next to the Machine Shed Restaurant which is located at 8515 Hudson Boulevard, Lake Elmo, MN 55420.
"We are very excited to be servicing Lake Elmo and the surrounding areas," said Eric Rasmussen, Lake Elmo Campus Director. "Rasmussen has experienced success with our other three campuses in the Twin Cities, and we believe that this campus will also flourish with the continued support from the metro area."
