Eden Prairie, MN - Rasmussen College will be holding a food drive competition between its Eden Prairie, Eagan and Brooklyn Park campuses from August 21 to September 1 to benefit local food shelves.

Students from all three campuses are encouraged to collect nonperishable food donations from neighbors, friends, family, and local businesses. The campus that collects the most food will win a barbeque for its students.

"This food drive is a great way to create some friendly competition between our campuses while helping to support a great cause," said Greg Witte, Rasmussen Regional Vice President. "Rasmussen College has always made an effort to make positive contributions in the communities in which our campuses are located."

Donations should be nonperishable food items such as canned fruit, vegetables, beef stew and spaghetti sauces. Staple items such as crackers, elbow macaroni, instant mashed potatoes, rice, pancake mix and ground coffee are also ideal items to donate.

The Food Shelves that will benefit from this food drive include CEAP in Brooklyn Park, CAC in Eagan and PROP in Eden Prairie. Any non-Rasmussen student that is interested in donating food can drop it off at any of Rasmussen’s metro campuses.
