ST. CLOUD (Minn.)—Rasmussen College St. Cloud campus has launched an exciting program called CollegeEdvantage, which allows area high school students access to Rasmussen College online classes at no cost to the school.
With economic hardships continuing to strain educational budgets, the regionally accredited Rasmussen College is offering relief to local area schools. By partnering with St. Cloud, Sartell and Sauk Rapids school districts, high school students can now take free college classes on their own high school campuses.
“CollegeEdvantage makes it possible for students to earn regionally accredited college credits and gain exposure to online education, while remaining connected to their high school teachers, administrators and friends,” Rasmussen College Campus Director Liz Rian said. “This program is also designed to address Minnesota Governor Pawlenty’s 2009 Education Proposals,” she added.
Pawlenty’s proposals include mandating that Minnesota’s high school graduation standards require every graduate to take an online course prior to graduation.
Students will be able to take advantage of CollegeEdvantage and enroll in classes as early as October, 2009.
