College To Highlight Criminal Justice Careers During Week Of September 11

MINNEAPOLIS (Minn.)—In observance of September 11, the School of Justice Studies at Rasmussen College will host a series of informational sessions beginning September 8, 2009 at several of its campuses.
Community officials including attorneys, US Marshalls, FBI agents, and corrections officers are among those scheduled to present. Topics will range from career paths and employment requirements to day-to-day responsibilities and best practices. Forums will include panel discussions, lectures and hands-on demonstrations. The following is a sampling of the scheduled events:
Holiday, Florida—Best Practices for Criminal Justice Job Seekers on Saturday, September 12 at 11 a.m. EST
Aurora, Illinois—Rollover Demonstration on Thursday, September 10 at 5:15 p.m. CST
Eagan, Minnesota—Paralegal Informational Session on Tuesday, September 8 at 5:00 p.m. CST
Rasmussen College faculty and staff will also be on hand to answer questions and provide information about degree programs offered.
“This is a perfect opportunity for anyone interested in learning more about Criminal Justice degrees and meeting experts in the field,” Rasmussen College, Director School of Justice Studies, CarieAnn Potenza said. “Staff members will also be available to answer any questions about financial aid, career services, and other support offered at Rasmussen,” she added.
