Minneapolis, MNRasmussen College Online is pleased to announce the graduation of the school’s first students from its Rasmussen College Online campus. Doreen Miller from Oro Valley, Arizona and Kacey Hammond from Westfield, Maine, will both receive their AAS at Rasmussen College’s graduation ceremony on September 8, 2006 in St. Paul, Minnesota.

Rasmussen College ’s Online Campus aligns convenience with a first rate college education. Online students can study and take tests whenever it fits their schedule while receiving instruction from Rasmussen professors. Rasmussen College Online students also have access to a 24/7 support center so help is available to them at all times.

"Rasmussen College Online is service focused and we are determined to help our students graduate on time," said Lamont Allen, Rasmussen College Online Campus Director. "We are confident that the curriculum and instruction that our students receive online will help them to use their degrees to create new and promising opportunities for themselves upon graduation."

Doreen Miller started her AAS in Health Information Technology in April of 2005.  Doreen has worked in the Health Information field for 15 years. She knew Rasmussen was the best match for her as she wanted to prepare to sit for her Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) exam.

"I don’t think that I could have found an easier, more professional educational experience than what I received at Rasmussen College Online," said Doreen. "I highly recommend Rasmussen College Online learning to anyone who desires learning from exceptional and knowledgeable instructors who really care."

After finishing her degree, Doreen plans to take the RHIT exam and begin taking classes towards her Bachelors Degree in Health Information Administration.  She lives in Arizona and has been married for 22 years, with 3 children between the ages of 17 and 21.

Kacey Hammond started her AAS in Business Management in February 2005 as the first student enrolled in Rasmussen College Online.  Growing up in Minnesota, she knew about Rasmussen’s history and reputation, and was excited about participating in the online campus.  Kacey’s education at Rasmussen has been a life long learning experience, allowing her the opportunity to interact with students across the nation.

"Rasmussen has allowed me to get the education I needed but also allowed me to keep the life I had," said Hammond. "I was able to get a great education without compromising my family or my commitments."

While completing her Mock Interview in her Career Skills class, Kacey was offered and accepted a job as the Town Treasurer of Westfield, Maine.
