Eagan (MN)— The Rasmussen College School of Nursing is now offering the Practical Nursing (PN) program at the Eagan, MN and Moorhead, MN campuses, which equates to five different Rasmussen College campuses offering the Nursing program in Minnesota .
Rasmussen College is dedicated to providing career-focused degrees for students in pursuit of careers that are in high demand. In Minnesota alone, the demand for Practical Nurses will increase by 13 percent by the year 2014, according to the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development.
Students can earn an Associate’s degree in Practical Nursing from Rasmussen College in as little as two years. Graduates of the Nursing program are required to pass the NCLEX-PN (licensing exam) and meet the requirements of the Minnesota Board of Nursing in order to become a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). Rasmussen College takes its graduates’ education one step further by paying for their first attempt at the NCLEX-PN.
“ Nurses are a very important part of the healthcare world,” Rasmussen College Director of Nursing Bradley Moore said. “Our facilities are up-to-date with current trends that are happening within nursing. The Rasmussen Nursing Advisory Board is continually scrutinizing our curriculum, so that we provide the best education possible for our students and the patients they will serve.”
The other three Rasmussen College campuses that offer the Nursing Associate’s degree in Minnesota are located in Brooklyn Park, Mankato, and St. Cloud.
