FT. MYERS (Fl)—Lehigh Regional Medical Center is advancing employee benefits by providing continuing education opportunities as the first Lee County organization to join the Employee Success Program offered by Rasmussen College.
The Employee Success Program is an opportunity for employees to continue their education at Rasmussen College at a reduced tuition cost and receive a waived application fee. Employees of partner organizations receive a ten percent discount on tuition and the $20 application fee is waived for all Associate’s, Bachelor’s, and Master’s programs offered through Rasmussen College and its partners on campus and online.
“The Employee Success Program a way for us to provide supplemental benefits to our employees without it costing the hospital a single penny. It’s a win-win for everyone.” Human Resources Director of Lehigh Regional Medical Center Carmen Bech de Garcia said.
Employees taking advantage of the tuition discounts may choose from degrees in the School of Allied Health, School of Business, School of Justice Studies, and the School of Technology and Design.
In addition to the employee benefits, employers receive the advantage of recruiting Rasmussen College graduates. Partners are invited to join on-campus job fairs, to post job openings on campus and on the Rasmussen College online student portal, and to meet with upcoming graduates.
Partners in the Employee Success Program also act as guest speakers, consultants with career services, and are able to utilize classrooms for offsite meeting space at no cost.
“We’re excited to partner with Rasmussen College. The campus is in a great location, is state-of-the-art, and the number of fully online course offerings are impressive,” Bech de Garcia said.
The Employee Success Program is open to many organizations. Some of the national partners in the program include Verizon, Lowe’s, and UPS. Other Ft. Myers partners include Lee County Sherriff’s Office, Hope Hospice, Shell Point, and the City of Ft. Myers.
