GREEN BAY, Wis., (July 26, 2010) – Rasmussen College in Green Bay has partnered with the new Rasmussen College Appleton campus to host a free Career and Networking Fair for residents of the surrounding communities on August 19, 2010 from 1:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. at the Green Bay Campus . Companies from a variety of industries will be present and looking to fill positions with qualified candidates. Featured businesses include Market America, UPS, Aerotek and UnitedHealth Group. Interested parties are encouraged to attend to gain a competitive edge in the job search process.
Rasmussen College representatives will be on hand to provide information about Master’s degree programs offered through the Rasmussen Partner Network of schools, and Bachelor’s and Associate’s degree programs offered through the local campus, as well as career opportunities within the Rasmussen College system.
“While an economic recovery has begun, many Americans – including Green Bay and Appleton residents - remain unemployed,” Rasmussen College National Director of Career Development Tamryn Hennessy said. “We are honored to have the opportunity to showcase available jobs in the community and to help residents of Green Bay, Appleton, and the surrounding areas learn about positive steps they can take toward employment.”
Rasmussen College is highly committed to the career success and achievements of its students, and the Career and Networking Fair is one example of this guiding initiative. The Rasmussen College Career Development Team works diligently with students and employers to help them meet their goals. In fact, Rasmussen College has proudly placed 92 percent of its graduates in careers in their field.
The Rasmussen College Career and Networking Fair is part of a national event that will be held at all 21 campuses, providing an opportunity for the public to network with the local business community, while also highlighting a number of available full-time, part-time, volunteer and internship opportunities. The most recent Rasmussen College Green Bay Career and Networking Fair in February 2010 attracted more than 100 community members and representation from 20 local businesses. Rasmussen College campuses across the country engaged with 2,680 members of 17 campus communities.
