Rasmussen College Awards Up To $1 Million In Academic Scholarships Throughout 2010 To Celebrate Its 110-year Anniversary

College Commemorates Anniversary with the Delivery of 110 Degree Scholarships to Rasmussen Students Nationwide

CHICAGO, (July 29, 2010) – Rasmussen College will celebrate its 110-year anniversary in 2010 by awarding 110 academic scholarships, valued up to $1 million, to qualified Rasmussen College students throughout the year. Individuals who complete the anniversary scholarship application, available online at www.rasmussen.edu/110years, are eligible to win one of the 110 Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree scholarships the college will award.

Founded 1900 in Stillwater, Minn., Rasmussen College serves more than 15,000 students nationwide through its network of campuses and online degree programs. Rasmussen College offers a wide range of Bachelor’s and Associate’s degree programs through its School of Business, School of Nursing, School of Technology and Design, School of Allied Health, School of Education, and School of Justice Studies. The Rasmussen College Mokena/Tinley Park Campus is now open and enrolling students for online in August and on-campus in October.

“Rasmussen College is excited to recognize 110 Years of Excellence by helping students develop both personally and professionally while they complete their college degree,” Rasmussen College President Kristi Waite said..“By recognizing individuals that have demonstrated a history of outstanding academic achievement, Rasmussen College will continue to support its students as they build a foundation for life-long learning.”

Scholarships will be awarded to full-time Rasmussen College students who maintain a minimum grade point average of a 2.5 on a 4.0 scale. New Rasmussen College students will be considered, with criteria primarily based on high academic performance. Both in-state and out-of-state students are eligible to apply.

The Mokena/Tinley Park campus is the second Rasmussen College location in Will County and fourth in Illinois; the College currently has campuses in Aurora, Romeoville/Joliet, and Rockford. The Rasmussen College Mokena/Tinley Park campus is located at 8650 West Spring Lake Road, just south of I-80 and east of 88th Avenue in Mokena.
