Rasmussen College In Romeoville Hosts "One Path. One Goal" Presented By The U.S. Army

ROMEOVILLE, Ill., (July 29, 2010) – Rasmussen College will open the doors of its Romeoville/Joliet campus Thursday, July 29, for “One Path. One Goal,” a family-friendly event presented by the U.S. Army. Featuring a rock-climbing wall, U.S. Army special edition Hummer H3 complete with big-screen TV, food and refreshments, and a Rasmussen College Student vs. Staff Challenge, the fun-filled day is free and open to the entire community.

Attendees are encouraged to donate nonperishable food, essential nonfood items, and supportive letters, as part of a summer-long charity drive sponsored by Rasmussen College to benefit Operation Care Package and Operation Support Our Troops Illinois.

“As part of Servicemembers Opportunity Colleges and a participant in the Yellow Ribbon Program, Rasmussen College is committed to showing our appreciation for the troops and the heroic service they do for our country,” Rasmussen College Romeoville/Joliet Campus Director Amy King said. “We are proud for the opportunity to support organizations like Operation Care Package and Operation Support Our Troops Illinois, as these groups provide invaluable services and services to those currently serving the U.S. overseas.”

The goal of Operation Care Package is to support U.S. soldiers, marines, sailors, and airmen through care packages and letters of encouragement. Similarly, Operation Support Our Troops Illinois is dedicated to supporting the needs of members of the armed forces by sending packages containing items not readily available to deployed troops.
