WAUSAU, Wis, (August 12, 2010) -- Rasmussen College invites students and local community members to receive free financial advice from the trained professionals behind the “Your Money Bus Tour,” a national financial literacy campaign promoted by the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA) Consumer Education Foundation, TD AMERITRADE, and Kiplinger’s Personal Finance magazine. On Friday, August 20, the Money Bus will stop at Rasmussen College in Wausau to offer free one-on-one consultations for interested attendees.

“Professional financial advice regarding long-term planning is a necessity, so we are pleased to offer free, personalized guidance through the Money Bus at our campus,” Rasmussen College Wausau Campus Director Sue Williams said. “The one-on-one consultations that will be provided at the event are an easy way for community members and students to ask pressing financial questions regarding budgeting, saving, debt issues, or investing. And they support our mission to continuously provide the community with the knowledge and tools necessary to succeed in the personal and professional business world.”

The financial advisors aboard the Money Bus, including stock-brokers, analysts, insurance agents, accountants, attorneys and financial planners, will provide unbiased advice about personal financial investments and savings. Guests are encouraged to bring questions and concerns regarding their financial situation to be reviewed privately with these qualified professionals.  Each attendee will receive a complimentary toolkit with articles, workbooks and interactive tools to help them plan for a secure future.
