FORT MYERS, Fla., (August 18, 2010) – Rasmussen College congratulates the first graduating class of its campus in Fort Myers. Faculty and staff honored 17 students at a commencement ceremony held at the Riverside Community Center, located at 3061 East Riverside Drive in Fort Myers, on August 15 at 11:30 a.m.
Rasmussen College Fort Myers opened its doors in July 2008. Though four students graduated December 2009, this is the first complete graduating class from Rasmussen College Fort Myers. The commencement ceremony featured an address from Dr. Kathleen Reynolds, CEO of the Early Learning Coalition of Southwest Florida. Dr. Reynolds has a Ph.D. in Reading, Language and Cognition from Hofsta University, and a B.S. and M.A. from New York University. Prior to moving to Marco Island, Florida, she was a classroom teacher and administrator in Long Island, New York and served as a Superintendent of Schools in Massachusetts for ten years.
