Registration Now Open For "Get Hired: Strategies To Move Your Career Forward" A Free Community Workshop Presented By Rasmussen College

Romeoville/Joliet Campus Event Provides Valuable Job-Seeking Strategies and Skills to the Local Community

ROMEOVILLE, Ill., (September 30, 2010) – Rasmussen College welcomes job seekers to attend its free workshop, “Get Hired: Strategies to Move Your Career Forward,” on October 16 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at its Romeoville/Joliet campus. Hosted by the Rasmussen College School of Business, the event will provide valuable job-seeking strategies and skills from some of the area’s most respected business leaders.

“Rasmussen College is excited to provide a free service to help our students and community members further develop their professional skills and stand out in this increasingly competitive job market,” Rasmussen College Romeoville/Joliet Campus Director Amy King said. “These workshops will provide many of the critical skills job seekers need to move forward in their careers. In addition, the workshops will include great advice and strategies on how to effectively network, make a positive impression during a job interview, improve written communication, and dress for success.” 

Some of the area’s top business professionals will lead the sessions, including: Kenneth McConnaughay, Vice President and Wealth Advisor at Morgan Stanley Smith Barney; Diane Alexander, Human Resources Consultant at DJA Enterprises; and Jeff Andrews, Director of Community Development at Rasmussen College. A professional fashion show and complimentary lunch will conclude the day’s events.
