Rasmussen College To Launch One-of-a-Kind Leadership Academy Designed To Expand Professional Attributes In Online Students
Premier Online Education Provider Launches Leadership Program Designed to Help Top Performing Students Develop Beneficial Skills for Professional Success

MINNEAPOLIS, (October 11, 2010) – As higher education evolves, becoming increasingly virtual, Rasmussen College announces the launch of a one-of-a-kind leadership program for online students. Scheduled to launch January 2011 completely online, the prestigious Rasmussen Leadership Academy was designed as an elective option for select students to help develop leadership, professional, and interpersonal skills.
Offered free of charge to interested students, the Rasmussen Leadership Academy was designed to help students identify and strengthen their unique leadership skills and learn about their application in educational, professional, and community settings. Enrolled students will learn about leadership styles, communication and conflict management skills, and the importance of diversity awareness.

Rasmussen College Online students who have been enrolled for two or more quarters, are currently enrolled in at least two online classes, and have a 3.0 GPA or higher are eligible to apply for the Rasmussen Leadership Academy. Members of the Rasmussen Leadership Academy are selected based on their references and a personal statement explaining how they see themselves as a leader and why they think the program will benefit them.
