Rasmussen College Celebrates New Campus With Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony

APPLETON, Wis., (January 31, 2011) — Rasmussen College, in partnership with the Fox Cities Chamber of Commerce, invites community members and prospective students to attend the ribbon-cutting ceremony to unveil its new Appleton, WI college campus on Thurs., Feb. 3, at 4:30 p.m. The campus is one of 21 Rasmussen College campus locations throughout the Midwest and Florida that offers Bachelor’s and Associate’s degrees in fields with high occupational demand. Guest speakers, including Bill Panella, Appleton Campus Director; Tom Slagle, CEO of Rasmussen College; Mayor Tim Hanna, City of Appleton, and Christine Ness, from Humana Small Business, will commence the ceremony. A representative from the Fox Cities Chamber of Commerce will also be on-site to help welcome the new campus.
“We are excited to officially open the doors of our Appleton campus to offer students access to on-campus courses and degree programs that will complement the existing online programs,” Rasmussen College Appleton Campus Director Bill Panella said. “The Appleton campus will continue to uphold the standards set by Rasmussen College through our diverse degree programs, and our community outreach events. We hope the community will join in the celebration of Rasmussen College’s new campus at the ribbon-cutting ceremony and learn more about the opportunities that are now available to them.”

Rasmussen College Appleton campus began offering online courses in August 2010 and finished the construction of a 12,000-square-foot wing in October 2010. The new campus will offer Bachelor’s and Associate’s degree programs through its School of Business, School of Technology and Design, School of Allied Health, School of Education, and School of Justice Studies, with each program tailored to provide students with the necessary skills and knowledge they need to become qualified professionals in the evolving career market. Enrollment for on-campus classes began earlier this month.
The Rasmussen College Appleton campus has also signed an articulation agreement with Fox Valley Technical College that will allow maximum transfer of credit, so Associate’s degree students can earn their Bachelor’s degrees at Rasmussen College.
