Public Invited to Explore New Tampa/Brandon Facility During Free Open House; College Will Recognize Local 110 Year Scholarship Winner

Tampa, Fla. (February 17, 2011) – Rasmussen College announced today it will host a free Open House to celebrate the Grand Opening of its new Tampa/Brandon, FL College Campus from 4 to 6 p.m. on Thursday, March 3. The public is invited to explore the campus and meet the faculty, staff and students at Rasmussen’s newest Florida college campus. Refreshments will be provided.
“We were very excited to open our doors to the first group of students this past fall, and we welcome the public to come by and see the wide variety of programs we have available to meet their educational and career goals,” said Rasmussen College Tampa/Brandon Campus Director Maggie Cook.
During the Grand Opening event, attendees will hear from Cook, as well as Hillsborough County Commissioner Ken Hagan and students John Tyler and Mark Hays. Hays will be officially recognized during the event as a recipient of the Rasmussen 110 Year Scholarship, awarded in honor of the college’s 110 year anniversary. The contest scholarship offered up to $10,000 to a student seeking a Bachelor’s degree or $5,000 to an Associate degree candidate. The final application period closed December 31.
