Bismarck and Fargo, ND (Nov. 14, 2011) – Rasmussen College today announced the launch of three new programs: the Information Technology Management degree, Human Resources and  Organizational Leadership degree, and Marketing degree that are now available to prospective students at its Bismarck and Fargo, North Dakota college campuses. Enrollment is going on now and classes begin January 3.

The new courses of study at both campuses include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology Management
  • Diploma, Associate’s and Bachelor’s degree programs in Human Resources and Organizational Leadership
  • Diploma, Associate’s and Bachelor’s programs in Marketing

“We’ve seen a growing demand for these kinds of professional skills in the North Dakota markets as the employment landscape continues to shift toward a knowledge-based economy,” said Rasmussen Fargo Campus Director Betty Largent. “We are dedicated to satisfying the demands of both employers in the region by turning out highly skilled workers to meet their needs, as well students, by offering flexible scheduling options that allow them to balance work, life and education.”

In 2010, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics forecast a nearly 25 percent jump in the number of jobs for network and computer systems administration and more than 50 percent growth in for network systems and data communications analysts, pointing to the strong career opportunities available in the IT field alone. Human resources and associated job roles are predicted to grow by as much as 28 percent over the same time period. Meanwhile, the explosion in digital marketing and social media marketing is driving strong demand for qualified candidates with the modern skills and knowledge necessary to capitalize on these new frontiers.

In addition to on-site programs, both the Marketing and Human Resources and Organizational Leadership programs are also available fully online through Rasmussen’s regionally accredited Fargo/Moorhead campus. Students enrolling in any of the new programs will benefit from Rasmussen’s flexible credit transfer policies that help students who have previously begun taking course work to get back on the road to higher education and complete their degree in a timely manner.
