FORT MYERS, Fla. (January 17, 2012) – Rasmussen College today announced Dr. Gail Dolan has been named Florida Regional Dean of the School of Nursing. With more than 25 years of healthcare leadership and academic experience, Dr. Dolan will oversee the Rasmussen nursing operations at its New Port Richey, Tampa/Brandon, Ocala and Fort Myers campuses in Florida.
Dr. Dolan joins Rasmussen from NCH Healthcare System in Naples, Fla. where she served in various executive-level administrative roles over the past 21 years, most recently as chief operations officer overseeing the entire operations of North Naples Hospital. Dr. Dolan has also served as an adjunct professor at both NOVA Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale and Barry University in Miami Shores.
“Throughout her career, Dr. Dolan has demonstrated an exceptional capacity for leadership and team building, a focus on quality patient care, and an unwavering commitment to develop world class nurses,” said Greg King, general manager of the Rasmussen College School of Nursing. “Her nursing, academic, and management experience will serve as a valuable asset in supporting our nursing program and providing the most advanced nursing education available to students looking to pursue a career in the nursing profession.”
Dr. Dolan earned a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Adelphi University and a Master’s degree in Nursing Administration from New York University. She earned a Wharton Fellowship from the Wharton School of Finance at The University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia and a Doctorate of Education in Organizational Leadership from NOVA Southeastern University.
