AURORA, Ill. (April 12, 2012) – Rasmussen College has expanded its partnership with Benedictine University, and the College will now host MBA courses at its Aurora, Ill. campus location. This new development will help the University provide more convenient educational offerings to their students across northern Illinois, and help Rasmussen College students gain insight into this notable graduate degree program.
“Both Rasmussen College and Benedictine University share a long-standing tradition of creating innovative solutions that will help our students be more successful in their academic careers; this partnership is another example of that creative thinking,” said Rasmussen College President, Kristi Waite. “Our students will now be closely exposed to graduate-level course instruction that may positively influence their decision to further their education. For Benedictine students, this partnership provides local students the option of focusing on their studies within their local community. Together, we are creating a thriving academic environment for students of different disciplines and we could not be more pleased.”
Benedictine University will begin offering courses in its Master of Business Administration (MBA) program at the Rasmussen College Aurora/Naperville campus in June 2012. The MBA program is a 64 quarter credit-hour program designed to meet the growing global need for knowledgeable, principle-centered leadership of organizations. Intended to prepare managers as both economic and ethical leaders, the MBA program emphasizes a comprehensive integration and application of business knowledge.
“Over the years, students have found their way to Benedictine University through many paths, and I am proud to announce Benedictine University’s partnership with Rasmussen College,” said Benedictine University President, William J. Carroll, Ph.D. “Among those private institutions that have been around for many years and are known for their quality, Rasmussen has specialized in serving the adult population – a population that Benedictine also serves. Through our partnership, students will have access to the best of both institutions.”
This new development in the partnership between Rasmussen College and Benedictine University is a progression of the current relationship already established by the two institutions. Currently, Rasmussen College business students who have completed their Bachelor’s degree program can apply to the MBA program at Benedictine University and complete their Master’s degree in as little as one year. By aligning curriculums and programmatic offerings with the University, many Rasmussen College students have the opportunity to pursue an advanced degree.
“These types of partnerships are instrumental in meeting the educational needs of all of our communities. If more colleges and universities would partner together to develop custom solutions to meet market demand, it’s amazing to think about all that could be accomplished,” Waite said.
