Multimedia Artist/Animator - $38,500 (25th percentile)
Create special effects, animation, or other visual images using film, video, computers, or other electronic tools and media for use in products or creations, such as computer games, movies, music videos, and commercials. Must remain abreast of technological advances in the field and be able to identify areas of use in the organization. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision; typically reports to a supervisor or manager. A great deal of creativity and latitude is expected.
Graphic Design Specialist - $39,727 (25th percentile)
Uses knowledge of current graphic design software to produce graphic art and visual materials for promotions, advertisements, films, packaging, and informative and instructional material through a variety of media outlets such as websites and CD-ROMs. Generates and manipulates graphic images, animations, sound, text and video into consolidated and seamless multimedia programs. Must remain abreast of technological advances in the field and be able to identify areas of use in the organization. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field. Produces graphic sketches, designs, and copy layouts for online content. Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Manages a staff of technical production specialists. Implements policies, procedures, and guidelines for on-line media content. Solves complex technical problems.
