Massage Therapy Salary Information

Massage Therapist - $35,199 (25th percentile)
Massage Therapists perform techniques to control pain, reduce stress, and promote relaxation in a healthcare facility or in private practice. They obtain basic medical histories for their clients, assess any problems or conditions, and suggest appropriate massage techniques based on their clients’ current health. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.

Spa Manager - $41,184 (25th percentile)
In this position, a Massage Therapist manages a spa facility, including administering, planning, and evaluate programs for all age groups. They hire, train and monitor the performance of professional spa personnel, and ensure that program goals are met, adhering to local, state, and federal regulations regarding cleanliness, accessibility, and safety of the facility. Leads and directs the work of others.
