Medical Assisting Diploma
Medical Assisting is the fastest growing job in the country. Employment in Medical Assisting is growing rapidly, and there are more opportunities for medical assistants than ever. The medical assisting program at Rasmussen College is designed to teach students administrative and clinical procedures. Graduates earning a diploma in Medical Assisting are prepared for entry level positions and will study patient care and communication, clinical assisting and pharmacology, and laboratory procedures.

Medical Assisting students will develop communication skills, learn to check vital signs, practice obtaining patient history, administer injections, learn how to properly draw blood, run certain lab tests, learn how to submit insurance claims, utilize billing and bookkeeping techniques, learn medical terminology and study anatomy and physiology.

AStudents earning a Diploma in Medical Assisting will be able to focus on various laboratory procedures including phlebotomy.
