Small Business Management Salary Information

Administrative Office Assistant - $29,496 (25th percentile)
Provides support duties to the organization as needed. Distributes incoming mails and prepares outgoing mail for shipping using postage meter. Acts as a backup receptionist and provides administrative services to staffs by copying documents, getting office supplies and kitchen supplies. Performs general maintenance of the facility and office equipment. Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision. Typically reports to a supervisor.

Administrative Assistant - $33,445 (25th percentile)
Performs a variety of administrative functions. Schedules appointments, gives information to callers, and takes dictation. Composes memos, transcribes notes, and researches and creates presentations. Generates reports, handles multiple projects, and prepares and monitors invoices and expense reports. May assist with compiling and developing the annual budget. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks.
