Blaine Campus to Host Military Service Member Resource Fair

Rasmussen College, in partnership with VOLT Workforce Solution, will be hosting a Military Service Member and Spouse Resource Fair on Wednesday, Sept. 25. The resource fair is open to the public and provides military service members and their spouses a chance to meet with potential employers, develop their job seeking skills with workshops, and  learn about the benefits that are available to them.

Blaine Campus Director Patty Sagert says they were very selective when choosing what employers to work with for this event.

“We will have employers here that both walk the walk and talk the talk when it comes to being committed to hiring military members and their families,” Sagert said.

In addition to having the opportunity to network with employers dedicated to hiring veterans, attendees will also be able to sharpen their job searching skills. Rasmussen College career service professionals will host workshops focused on developing LinkedIn profiles and refining attendees’ interviewing skills throughout the resource fair. Furthermore, several organizations dedicated to helping veterans will be present to showcase the services and resources they offer to military families.

“For Rasmussen College, this is another way of saying thank you by providing resources for the military families that really deserve it,” said Sagert.

The Military Service Member Resource Fair is open to the public from 1:00 – 4:00 P.M. at the Rasmussen College Blaine campus, with on-site child care service available to all attendees. If you would like to know more about the event please contact Patty Sagert at (763 )795-4720.
