Violence in schools in 2012 and 2013 has sparked a national debate on the safety of students and school security. Many may wonder, has anything changed? Additionally, deaths in schools have decreased since 2011, according to recent data from the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES). Many schools have also increased their budget for school security.
