General Information

Rasmussen College was founded on September 1, 1900 in St. Paul, Minnesota by Walter Rasmussen. It was called the Rasmussen Practical School of Business.


Today, with more than a century of expertise behind us, Rasmussen College is a private, two-year and four-year degree-granting college with campuses in Minnesota, Illinois, Wisconsin, North Dakota, Florida, and an Online Division.

We offer on-campus, online, and blended-learning courses with flexible scheduling, and award Bachelor’s and Associate degrees, as well as diplomas and certificates in a variety of career areas.
