At Rasmussen College, we understand that sometimes you may need extra help with your coursework.  That is why we offer extensive tutoring services both online and on campus—and we offer it to you at no additional cost.  You can talk in person or on the phone with a tutor or librarian or you can even chat online with a tutor.  We even have student tutors available who have successfully completed the course you need help with and can help you succeed. 

On campus tutoring is available from our faculty in all programs and in most elective and general education courses.  Here are some examples of the tutoring services available to you:

  • 24/7 math assistance for introductory algebra and college algebra
  • Tutoring assistance 7 days per week in English, anatomy and physiology, economics, general chemistry, biology, and Spanish
  • Comprehensive spelling, grammar, and writing quality review turned around within 24 hours
  • Bi-lingual (Spanish) tutoring available
  • Learning Center services provided in-person and online via webinars with Learning Center Coordinators

Plus, you can choose your tutoring schedule—whether a one-time, weekly, or bi-weekly appointment with a tutor or mentor, you decide what fits your life and your schedule.

Our Learning Center, where you can also receive tutoring services, is available online and on campus.  Here you can find tips and strategies on everything from time management to effective study habits. The library system at Rasmussen College is available both online and on campus, and it is a vast resource that holds an astounding amount of academic resources. It has over 100 million articles, 55 information databases, and thousands of full-text books available either online or on campus.

Orientation

This orientation provides you with everything you need to know about how to be a successful online student. From course discussion posts and communicating with your instructors to navigating the course and policies and procedures, your new student orientation introduces you to everything you need to know about succeeding in your degree program.
