Fargo Educator Chosen As AP Reader For Second Year In A Row

Rasmussen College Fargo/Moorhead Dean of Student Learning Rob Neuteboom selected as AP Reader by the College Board's Advanced Placement Program and Educational Testing Service

FARGO, N.D. (March 15, 2011) – Rasmussen College Fargo/Moorhead Dean of Student Learning Rob Neuteboom has been selected by the College Board’s Advanced Placement (AP) Program and educational testing Service to serve as an AP Reader for the second year in a row.

Approximately 11,000 college faculty and AP teachers from around the world will meet in five locations around the United States to evaluate and score about 11 million free-response answers. Rob will be at the Louisville, Ky. event.

Neuteboom, who is originally from Layton, Utah, moved to Fargo, North Dakota, in 2005 to pursue a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from Minnesota State University Moorhead. He completed his degree in December of 2007, two months after accepting a position as the first Learning Center Coordinator at the Rasmussen College Fargo campus. In 2009, Rob moved into a full-time faculty role as a member of the General Education Department at Rasmussen College. He taught English Composition, Creative Writing, Literature, Speech, and a number of other language courses.

In addition to his teaching experience, Rob has published a short story in the South Dakota Review and more than fifteen poems in Red Weather, Prick of the Spindle, The Houston Literary Review, and Workzine.

“We are exceptionally proud of Rob and his accomplishment,” Rasmussen College Fargo/Moorhead Campus Director Betty Largent said. “To be chosen by the AP as a Reader two years in a row is a great honor and a mark of excellence.”
