Rasmussen College Nursing Programs in Bloomington, Mankato and St. Cloud Earn ACEN Accreditation
Rasmussen College, a regionally accredited private college, today announced its Bloomington, Mankato and St. Cloud, Minnesota campuses have earned programmatic accreditation from the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN). Accreditation highlights the College’s commitment to meeting rigorous education standards for its Practical Nursing Diploma program at its Mankato and St. Cloud campuses as well as for its Professional Nursing Associate’s degree program at its Bloomington, Mankato and St. Cloud campuses. It also signifies the Nursing programs have met or exceeded standards and criteria for educational quality in Nursing curriculum and preparation for Nursing students to work successfully in the profession.
Rasmussen College Early Childhood Education Program Approved as an Entitled Institution in Illinois
Rasmussen College, a regionally accredited private college, is proud to be recognized among a select group of early childhood education (ECE) institutions for meeting superior industry standards and gaining approval as an Entitled Institution through the Gateways to Opportunity Credentials – Levels 2, 3, 4 and 5; Infant Toddler Credentials – Levels 2, 3, 4 and 5 and Illinois Director – Level 1 and 2, through 2023. As an Entitled Institution, ECE students at Rasmussen College in Illinois can now qualify for state-recognized credentials more efficiently.
Rasmussen College to Present All-Star Practices for the Verizon WNBA All-Star 2018
Rasmussen College, a regionally accredited private college, today announced plans to present the practices and related events for Verizon WNBA All-Star 2018 Friday, July 27 in Minneapolis. Around 5,000 fans are expected to attend the three-hour event at Target Center where they will have the opportunity to view two practices and hear from distinguished speakers, including Rasmussen College president, Dr. Trenda Boyum-Breen, during the All-Star Inspiring Women Talk at 1:45 PM CT following the first practice. Attendees are also encouraged to participate in free Rasmussen College-sponsored activities on the concourse–including face painting, photo opportunities and giveaways.
Rasmussen College Gives Back During 10th-Annual Community Service Day
Rasmussen College, a regionally accredited private college and Public Benefit Corporation, will give back, in its yearly tradition, to its local communities on Friday, July 20 during its tenth annual Community Service Day. About 700 employees from its 22 campuses and three central offices will participate in the national service day event. Through this annual effort, employees and staff will volunteer more than 2,100 hours in just one 24-hour period; helping communities across the country grow and thrive.
Rasmussen College Launches Data Analytics Bachelor’s Degree Program to Meet Market Demands
Rasmussen College, a regionally accredited private college, today announced its newly launched Data Analytics Bachelor’s degree program. The Data Analytics program features multiple entry options for students, including a Bachelor’s degree-completion option designed for students who hold a conferred Associate’s degree from an accredited institution or for students who have successfully completed 90 quarter credits with a grade of “C” or higher. The program is designed to help students learn the skills and languages needed to excel in a data analytics career. Upon completion, students will be prepared for the SAS® Certified Base Programmer for SAS 9 credential exam, a foundation for a career as a SAS professional. Enrollment is immediately available with courses beginning in July 2018.
Rasmussen College Expands Competency-Based Education Model to Its First Associate’s Degree Programs
Rasmussen College, a regionally accredited private college, today announced the expansion of its Flex Choice® Competency-Based Education (CBE) program model to the College’s first two Associate’s degree programs—Business Management and Early Childhood Education (ECE). The learning model provides students with an efficient, relevant and flexible way to earn a college degree. Students interested in enrolling in the Business Management or ECE Associate’s degree programs now have the option of taking CBE courses, which are delivered in self-paced modules with robust faculty interaction and graded instruction while also giving students flexibility over how they manage their time. Enrollment in both programs is immediately available with classes beginning in July.
Rasmussen College Joins the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) to Celebrate Week of the Young Child
Rasmussen College, a regionally accredited private college, joins the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) to celebrate Week of the Young Child (WOYC)™, April 16–20. NAEYC has celebrated WOYC annually since 1971 with Rasmussen College honoring the week College-wide since 2011. The week is dedicated to better meeting the needs of our country’s young children, their families and the educators who teach them. This year, Rasmussen College is acknowledging the increased focus nationwide on the importance of STEAM concepts: science, technology, engineering, art and math. The College believes now is an opportune time to discuss how we can address these large and often complex topics with young children to develop and foster an interest in STEAM at an early age. This year’s internal theme, Celebrating Our Youngest Learners Through STEAM, will be recognized across the College’s 22 campuses and online.
Rasmussen College Radiologic Technology Program in Lake Elmo/Woodbury and Land O’ Lakes/East Pasco Earns Accreditation
Rasmussen College, a regionally accredited private college, today announced its Radiologic Technology Associate’s degree program at its Lake Elmo/Woodbury, Minn. and Land O’ Lakes/East Pasco, Fl. campuses have earned programmatic accreditation from the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT). Accreditation signifies the College’s Radiologic Technology program has met or exceeded standards and criteria for educational quality in Radiologic Technology curriculum and prepares students to work successfully in the profession upon graduation.
Rasmussen College Redesigns Finance and Marketing Bachelor’s Degrees to Prepare Students for Careers in Today’s Digital Economy
Rasmussen College, a regionally accredited private college, today announced two newly relaunched Business degree programs: a Finance Bachelor’s degree-completion program and a Marketing Bachelor’s degree-completion program. Through curriculum developed to reflect the latest financial, digital marketing and sales management practices, these flexible, fully online degrees are designed to equip students with a strong business foundation and skills to meet the high demand for business professionals nationwide.
Rasmussen College Refreshes Cyber Security Program to Prepare Students to Meet the Technology Needs of Tomorrow
Rasmussen College, a regionally accredited private college, today announced its newly relaunched Cyber Security accelerated Bachelor’s degree-completion program. Previously, Rasmussen College offered an Information Security Bachelor’s degree program and has chosen to refresh its curriculum, credential and name to better align with industry and employer demands. Results from the eighth Global Information Security Workforce Study (GISWS) found the workforce gap in cyber security is estimated to be growing, with the projected shortage reaching 1.8 million professionals by 2022. The new Cyber Security program is designed to prepare students to secure proprietary information, defend data and ultimately help to close the nationwide technical skills gap.
