Did you know that approximately 74,000 new computer viruses are created each day? A virus is a form of malware that is capable of copying itself, spreading to other files through user actions. There are dozens of ways your computer can fall victim to a virus. Some common causes are accepting a prompt without reading it, opening suspicious e-mail attachments and pirating software, music or movies.
Even the most careful computer users can acquire a virus. It’s important to be able to identify when your device is infected and take the proper steps in removing it safely.
Ron Cervantes, information technology instructor for the Rasmussen College School of Technology, will teach you how to detect malware on your device. He will then demonstrate how to remove a virus from your computer.
