College Student Smartphone News Consumption Infographic
“We’re in college, and we want our news now!”And that’s exactly what’s happening. These days, students don’t have to grab a newspaper at the student union or wait to log on to their computer to get the news. From the weather pinpointed to your exact location, to local and national news and sports, students are using their smartphones to read, listen and watch just about everything, and they’re not using just one news source. In fact, a recent study by the University of Colorado Boulder on smartphone use found 24 percent of students often skim news articles and content from multiple sites.
