In 1900, Walter Rasmussen founded Rasmussen College because he saw the market demand for employees with career-specific education and a lack of opportunity for career-minded professionals to earn this education. To meet this market demand, he developed practical, market-relevant, and advanced education programs that set apart graduates from their competition. In developing these programs, Walter Rasmussen started a long-standing tradition of career-specific education designed to help graduates succeed in their careers that continues today.
