First Class To Graduate From Rasmussen College
Aurora Campus Celebrates Graduation of 24 Students from a Variety of Degree Programs
AURORA, Ill., (January 19, 2011) – Rasmussen College will hold a commencement ceremony for the first graduating class of its Aurora campus on Sun., Jan. 16, beginning at 1 p.m. Friends and family are encouraged to attend as Rasmussen College faculty and staff honor 24 graduates from the School of Business, School of Allied Heath, and School of Justice Studies at the Pipers Banquets, located at 1295 Butterfield Rd.
“Rasmussen College creates a sense of community and belonging for both its students and faculty. We are excited to recognize the first graduating class from our Aurora campus and look forward to hearing about their future professional achievements,” Rasmussen College Aurora Campus Director Susan Cheney said. “I am confident that each of our talented and hard-working graduates will enter his or her desired career field with the skills, training, and education necessary to succeed and stand out in a competitive workforce.”
Sunny Chico, president of SPC Consulting and former Region V director for the U.S. Department of Education, will address the graduates. Her company offers experience-based solutions to school systems in the areas of diversity, reform, training, and compliance with federal, state, and local education law. Chico’s booklet series, “You: Your Child’s First Teacher,” for parents of preschool, elementary, and secondary schoolchildren encourages parents to be involved as partners in the education of their children and guides them through diverse school systems, as well as U.S. education regulations.
